A Planning Workshop for a New Cal Plug-Load Energy Efficiency Center

Title: A Planning Workshop for a New Cal Plug-Load Energy Efficiency Center
Event Date: 4/1/2010 - 4/1/2010
Event Time: 8 a.m.
Event End: 6 p.m.

Calit2 Building Auditorium, University of California, Irvine

Complimentary parking is available in the nearby Anteater Parking Structure.

This planning workshop, with an emphasis on consumer electronics and office equipment, brings together industry and academia to jointly develop a research and deployment blueprint for the plug-load center. Your participation will guide the planning of the center’s future direction and mode of operation.

We are seeking input from a wide cross-section of business perspectives, including manufacturing, distribution, service providers, utility, and design and construction. Your input on the needs and challenges relevant to your specific business model is essential to the planning process, both for identifying strategic partners and for determining the center’s course of action.

We want to understand how your business implements energy-efficient practices, what roadblocks you encounter, and how the center could best support your needs. This will help us determine the best way to establish a holistic approach to energy efficiency that will inspire mass participation. Together, we will lay the foundation for achieving a more energy-efficient and low-carbon-emission society.
