Auditorium and Atrium in the Calit2 Building, University of California, Irvine

At this semiannual Igniting Technology event, Calit2 will present the various ways our local, state and national communities are getting smart about energy efficiency. According to statistics, we will use as much as 40 percent more energy in the next 20 years. We are plugging into a dated infrastructure that cannot handle the demand. California and the nation are looking to smart technologies to vastly improve efficiency in energy distribution and consumption. Join us Wednesday, November 10 to learn more about the developing Smart Grid, smart appliances and buildings, as well as efforts to motivate consumer behavior changes. Come learn about the new market opportunities unfolding as the public utilities, government agencies and technology engineers look towards increasing energy efficiency in all sectors of life.
