July 15, 2019 –
The Thermal, Elemental, Mechanical, Physical and Rheological Properties user facility (TEMPR) at UC Irvine held its grand opening Friday, July 12.
The facility, located on the second floor of CALIT2, is UCI’s world-class shared laboratory for the physical property characterization and elemental analysis of bulk and thin-film biological, soft and hard materials. TEMPR houses a comprehensive suite of state-of-the-art characterization instruments, including thermal analysis tools.
TEMPR will bring together researchers from all disciplines across campus and the region to develop new materials for applications in health, energy, semiconductors, aerospace, information technology and other areas.
