TechPortal, a business technology incubator in the CALIT2 Building, serves as a gateway to commercial viability for UCI-based startup companies. TechPortal offers affordable space, access to facilities and services, and mentoring, programs and expertise to help new companies gain traction in the marketplace.
TechPortal is located on the second floor in the CALIT2 Building, room 2401. Approximately 1,500 total square feet, the incubator houses up to seven companies. Each tenant can lease roughly 150 square feet of flexible lab space at affordable rates. Month-to-month leases, with a minimum commitment of 6 months and a maximum occupancy of 2 years, are available. Only companies based on UC technology or founded by UCI faculty, staff or students are eligible for tenancy.
