For the fourth year, Calit2 is partnering with UROP to support the Interdisciplinary Research Teams (IRT) Program, which connects graduate and undergraduate students to collaborate on interdisciplinary research projects at UCI. Each team typically includes one PhD student mentor, two to four undergraduates from different disciplines, and a faculty mentor. Awarded projects are conducted in Winter-Spring 2026 and receive a $1,000 stipend for the graduate student mentor and up to $2,000 in research funds to support project expenses. 
An orientation and lunch will take place on Wednesday, October 15, at Calit2. Faculty, PhD and undergraduate PHD students are cordially invited to attend and learn more [RSVP].
