The CALIT2 Building has several meeting rooms on the third and fourth floors that can be reserved free of charge by on campus units. These rooms hold approximately 12 people and are equipped with overhead projectors and whiteboards. Food and drink are allowed in the meeting rooms, however groups are expected to clean up after and take their trash to the dumpsters in the building’s loading dock. If a mess is left behind, you will lose your ability to reserve rooms in the future.
The first floor Auditorium and adjacent Atrium are very popular event spaces on campus. The auditorium holds approximately 150 people, while the atrium serves as a networking reception space for approximately 180 people. These spaces are available for a fee. On-campus groups pay via a recharge account and fund number. Student groups requesting reservations must have a faculty advisor approve the request, as well as be present at the event. Off-campus organizations, ie industry, foundations, business societies, etc., may also reserve these spaces at a slightly higher fee rate. Requests from outside organizations will be considered if the purpose for the reservation is in line with the mission of CALIT2. No food or drink, with the exception of water, is allowed in the auditorium.
All rooms are available for reserving between normal business hours of 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Before and after hour requests will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
