Research Development and Industry Relations
Our team supports research development by connecting faculty with funding opportunities, facilitating interdisciplinary collaborations, and helping shape competitive proposals. We also build strategic industry partnerships—linking companies with UCI expertise, labs, and talent to accelerate technology development, pilot projects, and commercialization. Through these efforts, Calit2 serves as a hub where academia and industry work together to solve real-world challenges and advance emerging technologies.

Proposal Submission
Calit2 provides Pre-Award and Post-Award assistance to affiliated faculty, researchers, and other academic personnel for sponsored awards that support research, training, and other scholarly activities.

We encourage you to submit your request as early as possible and request a minimum of four weeks’ notice prior to the submission deadline. Letting us know early helps us align support, streamline the process, and strengthen proposals for both near-term submission and long-term impact.
