On June 7, members from the California Network for Manufacturing Innovation Inc. (CNMI) topped-off their day-long summit with a tour of several labs at CALIT2.
The CNMI summit, themed, “Automation: The Next Generation of Lean,” was held at UCI’s Applied Innovation. The goal of the event was to raise awareness about the benefits of taking lean manufacturing to the next level of improving performance through automation.
CNMI is a non-profit corporation established for the purpose of promoting manufacturing competitiveness in California through a collaboration of industry, national laboratories, technical assistance, government agencies, academia, workforce and economic development organizations.
CALIT2 guests were introduced to research work being conducted at CalPlug, demonstrations in the Microsemi Lab and a tour of Fabworks.
